Working with Karen over the past few months has been life-changing for me. She’s an excellent listener, and an exceptional life-coach. Karen was able to bring my issues to the surface, articulate them for me clearly and concisely even when I am not entirely able to articulate them for myself. I’ll take what I’ve learned from her along with me throughout the remainder of my life’s journey. Thanks Karen!
Karen’s coaching was supremely effective in helping me clarify my goals and priorities. She has helped me envision a long-term plan for working towards work-family balance. I found coaching around a specific cluster of issues more effective than therapy.
Karen recently presented to our local PMI chapter on Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers. Her presentation was thoughtful and entertaining. She is skilled at engaging the audience, drawing out their experiences to illustrate the messages that she is delivering. We all took away some key insights and tips about how to enhance our emotional intelligence and be more effective as Project Managers!

I had the great pleasure of having Karen on my senior management team when I was a Vice President at Kaiser Permanente. Karen is a skilled and experienced executive, and a superb leader. Karen ran the testing and quality assurance department for the KP-HealthConnect initiative, a successful $5 billion nationwide implementation of a full suite of healthcare applications including an electronic medical record. During this time, Karen displayed great skill in developing and growing her people, many of whom received promotions to positions of greater responsibility, including executive positions.
Karen’s Project Management Group Coaching Program helped me develop my effectiveness in leading a project and interacting with team members. It gave me insight into my style including how to manage and motivate others by understanding different personality types. I had the opportunity to talk through real work situations and apply the new tools/skills reviewed during these sessions. Being coached in a group setting allowed me to hear others' challenges and the methods they dealt with them. The assignments in between sessions allowed me to practice the techniques and discuss the results at the next meeting.
